Additional Information
From the Parking Lot to the Float:
After parking in the public river access parking lot, head down to the boat landing and flip the sign open to blaze orange, signifying that you are ready to be picked up and brought over to the float via boat. We pick people up and drop them off on the hour.
1 Pole Limit:
You can bring as many rods & reels as you like, but we do ask that you only use one at a time.
Fishing License Requirement:
Since the float is located on the Mississippi River in between Minnesota and Wisconsin, a fishing license issued from either state will work to fish on the float.
Alcohol Policy:
You can bring your own alcohol on the float. We just ask that you please drink in moderation.
Dog Policy:
We do not allow dogs on the float. We do, however, allow service dogs.
Handicap Accessibility:
We are able to accommodate wheelchairs on the float (either regular or power wheelchairs). We also have a handicap accessible outhouse on the float. Contact us with any questions you may have regarding handicap accessibility.
Fishing Regulations:
The fishing regulations you follow on the float are detailed in the Wisconsin DNR's Fishing Regulations document on their website. This is because the float is located in Pool 8 on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River (Note: Either a WI or MN fishing license will work). Locate the Wisconsin-Minnesota Boundary Waters section for the open seasons, daily limit, and minimum length for a wide variety of species. You can find links below to both the WI and MN fishing regulations websites.
