Additional Information

From the Parking Lot to the Float:

After parking in the public river access parking lot, walk down to the boat landing.

We pick up and drop off on the hour from 7am to 11am (no noon shuttle) and on the hour from 1pm to 5pm.

Please be ready 10 minutes before the shuttle times to avoid extended wait times.

1 Pole Limit:

You can bring as many rods & reels as you like, but we do ask that you only use one at a time.

Fishing License Requirement:

Since the float is located on the Mississippi River in between Minnesota and Wisconsin, a fishing license issued from either state will work to fish on the float.

Alcohol Policy:

You can bring your own alcohol on the float. We just ask that you please drink in moderation.

Dog Policy:

We do not allow dogs on the float. We do, however, allow service dogs.

Handicap Accessibility:

We are able to accommodate wheelchairs on the float (either regular or power wheelchairs). We also have a handicap accessible outhouse on the float.

Contact us prior to coming to the float  because river conditions may not always allow us to have full handicap accessibility.

Fishing Regulations:

The fishing regulations you follow on the float are detailed in the Wisconsin DNR's Fishing Regulations document on their website. This is because the float is located in Pool 8 on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River (Note: Either a WI or MN fishing license will work). Locate the Wisconsin-Minnesota Boundary Waters section for the open seasons, daily limit, and minimum length for a wide variety of species. You can find links below to both the WI and MN fishing regulations websites.

MN Fishing Regulations:

There are 2 outhouses on the float including a handicap accessible outhouse pictured on the right.

There is a hand washing station on the float as well as trash cans and cigarette disposal bins.
